EB001 is the first cassette by Etat Brut, released in 1980. It was re-released by Club Moral after the disbandment of Etat Brut.
The first concerts of Etat Brut also had Super8 films, they were official products, but have never been released. Quite a lot of the shooting of these was done on the infamous viaduct of Koekelberg, a long narrow overpass that carried the Etat Brut members from their home to their job every day. Infamous because of it's traffic jams, dangerous driving and ugliness into the centre of Brussels. It was built in 1958 as a temporary solution, but remained in action until the 1980's, injecting about 30.000 cars a day into the city. The viaduct is now replaced by a tunnel.
In the late 1990's the Belgian Government donated the viaduct to Thailand, where it is now known as the "Belgian Bridge" on Rama IV Road in Bangkok.
With the release of EB001 came also Etat Brut's "Message aux Larves":
1) Qu'attendre de la paix? Un sommeil confortable pour vos tristes carcasses?
2) Face à la niaiserie, affecter l'écœurement.
3) Face à vos consciences, dresser nos tortures.
4) Face au bonheur l'énifiant, opposer le gout du sang, du métal et de la guerre.
5) Face a face!

Club Moral is a Belgian artist collective and noise band formed in 1981 by Danny Devos aka DDV and Anne-Mie van Kerckhoven aka AMVK, Belgium. They are known for their controversial performances and imagery.
Guest members were Dylan (2001-2003), Mauro Pawlowski (2003-2011), Aldo Struyf (2010-2011) and Orphan Fairytale (2011). Since 2012 DDV and AMVK are the sole members performing music concerts. ... more
